About the Event

This year’s Indaba, themed “Epilepsy in Action,” is the flagship event of the week. It brings together government stakeholders, health professionals, academics, civil society, carers, and people with lived experience for honest dialogue and practical problem‑solving.

A key highlight of this year’s gathering is the Epilepsy Pledge, where participants will be invited to collectively commit to:

  • Challenging stigma and discrimination

  • Supporting early diagnosis, treatment access, and continuity of care

  • Advocating for rights, dignity, and inclusion

  • Turning awareness into meaningful action across institutions and communities
