Rare Diseases are too big for one organisation.
RDSA works with healthcare professionals, researchers, corporates and industry to close the gaps in rare disease care in South Africa. Here is how we work together.

Corporate
membership
Annual membership
Formal annual membership for organisations working in and around rare disease: laboratories, research institutions, healthcare companies and non-profit organisations.
Membership fees are scaled to annual turnover, so what a small laboratory pays is not what a multinational pays. Get in touch and we will tell you where you would sit.
Rare Disease Partnership Programme
A structured forum for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and related companies to support the rare disease cause and understand what matters to the people living with these conditions. Biannual roundtables, quarterly one-on-ones, and a signed code of conduct that protects RDSA's independence and your compliance position.
Industry partnership
For healthcare
professionals
Clinical
You may see one rare disease case in a career, or one a week. Either way you should not have to work it out alone. We can help with referral pathways, patient resources you can hand over in a consult, and a point of contact when a case needs more than a prescription.
For researchers
Research
The RDSA Patient Registry is the most complete picture of rare disease in South Africa that currently exists. We work with researchers on study recruitment, data access under appropriate governance, and making sure findings reach the community they came from.
