What membership includes
Referrals and visibility
A listing and link on the RDSA website and across our social media platforms, so that patients, families and clinicians looking for your services can find you.
Kept in the loop
Addition to our membership and advocacy mailing lists, with:
-
Regular and breaking member alerts
-
The RDSA e-newsletter
-
Immediate receipt of media statements and releases
Profiling of your services
Your specific services profiled in relevant RDSA communication fora, including an announcement as a corporate partner in our quarterly newsletter.
Events and endorsements
Sponsorship opportunities at relevant RDSA events, and use of the RDSA logo as an endorsement on relevant events and communications (with prior approval).
And the part that isn't a line item
Membership makes you part of the unified, collective voice of RDSA and the rare disease and congenital disorder community in South Africa. When we go to medical schemes, regulators or the Department of Health, we go representing that community, and our members are part of it.
What it costs
Membership fees are scaled to annual turnover. Send us an enquiry and we will come back to you with where you would sit.
-
Start up companies (first 2 years of trading): R2750 per year
-
Microbusinesses (<R5million annual turnover): R5500 per year
-
Small businesses (Between R5mill-R22million annual turnover): R11500 per year
-
Medium businesses (above R22million annual turnover): R30000 per year
A note on independence
We cap income from pharmaceutical and related industries at one third of total funding, so that our advocacy stays independent. Membership buys visibility and access to the community, it does not buy influence over our positions and views.
Not sure if this is the right fit?
