Our RARE ACTIVist programme needs YOU to help us raise awareness and funds for our cause, our patients, and ultimately the rare disease community.

Whether you participate in one of our featured events or a marathon, triathlon, or bike ride of your own, by fundraising for Rare Diseases South Africa NPC you’re helping us empower patients through improved advocacy, navigation and community engagement.

Please note: Signing up to our charity team does not include your official race entry. This must be done separately via the event organisers.

We offer two ways to join the Rare Activist team:

Option 1: "Step Up for Rare" Package - You pay a small joining fee (R150), then walk or ride with heart by fundraising for rare!
(You bring the effort, we bring the tools!)​

Option 2: "Ready, Set, Rare!" Package - Skip the fundraising and pay your full target upfront – quick, easy, and impactful!
(For those who want to go the extra mile from the get-go!)Pay the full fundraising target upfront (no need to fundraise)
 

Whichever package you choose, either way, you’ll receive:

• Branded Rare Activist racegear

• Access to our supporter zones on race day

• Fundraising resources and support

• The chance to make a difference in the lives of those with rare diseases
