Every year, Rare Diseases South Africa takes part in Ride Joburg,
one of the largest and most iconic cycling events in the country.
Ride Joburg brings together thousands of riders from all walks of life
to take on a challenging 97km route through Johannesburg.
It is more than just a race, it is a celebration of endurance, community,
and purpose, where cyclists ride not only for personal achievement,
but also for the causes and organisations they choose to support along the way.
For RDSA, Ride Joburg is one of our most important fundraising
and awareness events of the year. It gives us the opportunity to shine a light
on rare diseases, bring visibility to our patients and families,
and raise critical funds that directly support advocacy, awareness,
and patient support programmes.
Every rider who joins our #Ride4Rare Team becomes part
of a much bigger movement, helping us turn
every kilometre into impact and hope.
As part of the build-up to Ride Joburg, we also host our annual
Full Moon Ride, a social community ride to bring our cyclists together
before race day and celebrate the journey ahead.
