Mnqobi – “The one who conquers”

Mnqobi – “The one who conquers”

We were blessed with two boys, born on the 1st September 2018. Our son Mnqobi, baby Q for short, was born with a rare condition called #TibialHemimelia. It is one of the most challenging and dreaded conditions confronting paediatric orthopaedic surgeons. Many of whom are not equipped to treat it successfully.

Mnqobi has been seen by some of the best and top paediatric orthopaedic surgeons in South Africa and all have advised that the only way they know how to help is through amputation. Dr Paley of the Paley institute in West Palm beach Florida, USA has over 28 years specialist’s knowledge with the condition and has helped many children like Mnqobi walk. Including a little girl named Phenyo from Midrand, South Africa.

How can you help

The procedure that Dr Paley will need to perform on little #Mnqobi will cost $200,000 equivalent to about R2,900, 000. This will be for the surgeries and rehabilitation to get him walking. This operation needs to be done while Mnqobi is still very young to facilitate the limb correction process. We are appealing to you to help our boy by donating and sharing his message with friends, family, colleagues and business partners whom you think would also be able to assist with the medical bills of the complex procedure and #Help Mnqobi walk. If we can get 10,000 people to donate R290 we can get Mnqobi to Florida. Please go to helpqwalk.org for more information on how to donate or contact us on 082 322 3973 for more information.

Please pledge what you can, we thank you for your donation.
